Garden Party

For the past 4 years, we have had a garden party in our yard. We have people show the quilts they have been working on. Good company, inspiration, music, and ice cream sundaes! This year was no exception. We had some beautiful quilts and the weather cooperated perfectly. Thanks to those who shared.

Here are some snap shots.

Post-War Sewing Room

After a seven day battle, I came out victorious! Hurray. I now know what projects remain unfinished, where they are and what to tackle first. It helps to throw out the things we no longer need or want.

This is the small closet in my craft room.
It is all organized and all my paperwork is now in binders.

This is the inside of the cupboards.
I organized my fabrics into color/theme/motif and put them into containers.

Look, a countertop!
See my grandkids artwork pinned to the cupboard fronts.
Future designers.

Who knew there was a work surface here?
Not me.

This is my sewing table that has a drop down leg.
This table hasn't been put up in years. It won't stay up for long, projects await.

The Bomb Shelter

Well, it's been a week and I wanted to show you some projects but who can create in such chaos? So I decided to start from the bottom and reorganize my sewing space. It definitely looks like a bomb went off in my craft room. It's time to dig out of the bomb shelter and I have pictures to prove it!!! LOL! Wish me luck...

This is my sewing table where I sit and push the pedal to the metal.

Can you see my ironing board there?
What good eyes you have!

Is this embarrassing, or what?
I've totally exposed myself here.

I can't even walk around in here!
Definitely, time to shovel out!

The containers are here. Why don't I use them?

Check back in a week for the after pictures.
Scary, I know! Now I'm committed!!
I WILL DO this!!!
